Lee set up the first undergradiate podiatric surgical unit at Curtin University of Technology in 1992. She has been a sessional lecturer in podiatric surgery both in undergraduate and post graduate units.
Lee has in the past served on the council of the Australian Podiatry Association (Western Australia).
She was the secretary of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons for ten years, and is still very innvolved on the ACPS council. She serves on the ACPS panel of examiners, and is currently the ACPS liaison officer, in which role she coordinates the staging of the surgical registrars.
