Lauren enjoys working with people and problem solving. Podiatry allows her to follow her passion for ballet by treating dancers for their injuries and the specialist fitting of pointe shoes.
After completing her Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) in 2005, she spent eight years working in the public health system performing general and stroke rehabilitation, as well as working in an out-patient high risk foot clinic. She has also had experience running her own practice with services focused on musculo-skeletal injuries.
Lauren has a broad range of additional skills, including low level laser therapy, dry needling, myofascial release, kinesiology taping, mobilisations and treating dance injuries. She engages in a range of professional development courses and lectures, and she has also lectured to the postgraduate students at UWA on the topic of ballet and its podiatric implications.
