Mia’s interest in podiatry stems from her keen interest in long-distance running and loves all sports and the outdoors. Seeing a podiatrist due to biomechanical issues when she was at school piqued her interest and helped her realise how important feet are in everyday life. This experience led her to study a Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) at Curtin University.
Mia has been with Perth Foot and Ankle Clinic since graduating from Curtin University in 2005. After taking a year off to locum in the UK, she returned to PFAC on a part-time basis.
Her interest in running gives her insight into how frustrating any injury can be, whether a small niggle or a major straight. She aims to help people get back doing what they love as quick as possible. Additionally, as a mother of two small children, Mia enjoys working with kids. She has a good understanding of the changes which occur to children's feet as they grow and develop.
