Podiatric Surgeon/Director/Founder

Lee founded the practice over 25 years ago. She is a Podiatric Surgeon and nowadays focuses exclusively on surgical treatment of the foot. Examples of the problems she treats surgically include bunions, hammer toes (and other toe deformities), neuromas and much else besides.

​

Lee set up the first undergraduate podiatric surgical unit at Curtin University of Technology. She has been a sessional lecturer in podiatric surgery both in undergraduate and post graduate units.

​

Lee has in the past served on the council of the Australian Podiatry Association (Western Australia).

​

She was the secretary of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons for ten years, and is still involved with ACPS matters. She serves on the ACPS panel of examiners, and has been the ACPS liaison officer, in which role she coordinates the staging of the surgical registrars. She is currently very active in the training of new surgical registrars in podiatric surgery.

Senior Podiatrist/Director

After spending several years working as a software engineer, Andrew went back to study in 1994. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Podiatry with First Class Honours in 1998, obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Podiatry in 2000, and a Master’s Degree in Podiatry in 2004. Andrew joined the practice in 1997.

 

He practices in all areas of podiatry, and was also a part-time lecturer at the Podiatry School at Curtin University for eight years. He has a special interest in office-based surgical procedures as well as biomechanics. He is a current member of the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. For five years, Andrew was the volunteer podiatrist at the Murdoch Community Hospice. He has given a number of lecture presentations over the years at a variety of conferences and other meetings. Andrew was a council member of the Australian Podiatry Association (WA).

 

He has served on the Podiatrists Registration Board of Western Australia. Andrew was the President of the Australasian Podiatry Council from October 2010 to June 2013, and was on the board of directors of the Australian and New Zealand Podiatry Accreditation Council. He was also the Chairman of Advocare, Inc, and is the current Chairman of Melville Cares, Inc.

Dr Kate Thrussell

Senior Podiatrist - Commenced 2006

Kate’s interest in sports and biomechanics led her to study for a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry). She was drawn to podiatry as it incorporates health care, sports and biomechanics.

​

She has a wide range of experience, including time spent in the UK in both private practices and hospital settings, before moving to Perth Foot and Ankle Clinic. This has given her vast expertise in all areas of podiatry, including general treatment, nail surgery, musculoskeletal injuries and orthotic prescription.

​

Kate sees the future of podiatry broadening to include more physical therapies and involvement with physiotherapists, to provide complete patient care. As technology advances, it will be increasingly integrated to offer faster and more accurate diagnoses, and more effective treatment.

Dr Kevin Ho

Senior Podiatrist - Commenced 2021

After completing his bachelors in Physiology and Pharmacology, Kevin developed a strong passion in the specialised field of Podiatric Medicine. Since graduating from the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with distinction at the University of Western Australia, Kevin established a special interest in podiatric surgery, biomechanical and musculoskeletal injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, orthotic therapy and injection therapy. Kevin was awarded the Dean's Prize, Podiatrists Registration Board of WA and Podiatry WA Prize for academic and clinical excellence. 

Kevin prides himself in practicing the highest level of evidence-based medicine and going above and beyond to improve his clients’ lower limb and holistic health. He is an avid runner, basketball player and musician. Kevin is currently a member of the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and an active board member of the Australian Podiatry Association

Dr Jo Manning

Senior Podiatrist - Commenced 2022

Jo  completed a bachelor of science in podiatry from Curtin University in 1996.

 

Over the last 25+ years she has worked across a broad range of clinical areas including biomechanics, paediatrics, diabetic care and aged care.

 

Jo has a special interests in dry-needling, exercise rehabilitation, orthotic therapy and paediatric podiatry.  She really enjoys helping people keep their feet in top condition, so they can continue to do all the things they love.

 

Outside of work, Jo likes reading, meditation and a bit of yoga. On sunny days she will most likely be found with her family at the beach, riding bikes or bush walking.

Sarah is currently on Maternity Leave

Sarah was part of the inaugural group of students to complete their Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine at UWA in 2009. A few years later, Sarah moved to Scotland where she completed a Master of Science in Motion Analysis with a thesis titled ‘Analysis of the kinetic and kinematic data in lower limbs during highland dancing’. Sarah recently completed a joint PhD between UWA’s Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Division and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts at Edith Cowan University, entitled ‘Lower leg and foot contributions to turnout in per-professional female dancers: A clinical and kinematic analysis’. She has a keen interest in sports medicine, in particular dance medicine.

Sarah has previously presented at conferences, including the 2019 Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare Conference, 2019 and 2017 Australasian Podiatry Conference, the 2018 International Association for Dance Medicine and Science Conference in Helsinki, Finland, the 2017 event of the same name in Houston, United States and the 2016 event in Hong Kong. She was also the invited guest speaker at the 2018 South Australian Podiatry Conference. Sarah has a keen interest in Sports Podiatry and Dance Podiatry.

 

Sarah grew up in Nedlands and went to school at Iona Presentation College. This is where her love of water polo started. She lives with her husband Thomas, daughter Georgiana and their rescue dog Herbie.

Dr Yi Shien Lew
BBiomedSc DPM

Podiatrist - Commenced 2022

Yi Shien graduated with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with Distinction from the University of Western Australia, after completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, majoring in Medical Science.

Yi Shien is passionate in all areas of podiatry and has developed a keen interest in musculoskeletal conditions, biomechanics and diabetes. She strives to use evidence-based care towards all foot and ankle conditions, helping patients achieve their individual health goals and needs. She prioritises approaching each individual holistically to maximise their quality of life.

Outside of podiatry, she loves travelling, playing social sports, guitar and singing. Yi Shien also loves to communicate with people through various languages including basic Chinese and Japanese.
